The founding cohort has not arrived. Rather than photograph a student body that does not exist, Forward publishes what the first students are entitled to expect.
A named adviser from week one
Every student is assigned an academic adviser and a co-op adviser before teaching begins. Adviser load is capped, and the cap is published on the accountability page rather than held internally.
Student representation with a vote
The founding cohort elects representatives who sit on the teaching and student-experience committees with a vote, not an observer seat. Those seats exist in the charter, so they cannot be quietly withdrawn later.
Wellbeing that is staffed, not signposted
Counselling is delivered by employed practitioners on campus rather than by referral to a partner list. The ratio of practitioners to enrolled students is published each intake.
Societies founded by the first cohort
Forward publishes no list of clubs, because the founding cohort has not arrived to form them. The university commits to funding and rooms for any society the first students constitute, and to publishing the register once it exists.
Halls that open when they are finished
Residences are Phase Three of the master plan. Until they are built, Forward will publish verified off-campus housing options with real prices instead of implying on-campus accommodation that does not exist.
Faith, food and accessibility planned in
Prayer and quiet rooms, halal and vegetarian catering, and step-free access are in the Phase One package rather than deferred as retrofits.
What does not exist yet
We will not pretend otherwise.
- No enrolled students, so no student union officers, no society register and no alumni network.
- No sports teams, fixtures or trophies. Facilities are in Phase Three of the master plan.
- No on-campus residences until Phase Three is delivered.
- No graduate employment statistics, because no cohort has graduated.
