Data protection, and how we govern the AI
Forward is an AI-powered university. That makes it our job to say in public what the AI is allowed to do, what it is never allowed to decide, and what you can ask us to do with your data.

What you can ask for, and how
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. Write to us and we respond within thirty days.

AI governance
The six rules every AI surface here obeys
LEO, the admissions tools and Mwalimu are built inside these limits. If you find a surface breaking one, report it and we will publish the correction.
AI advises, humans decide
No admission, no assessment result, no fee decision and no disciplinary outcome is made by a model. Every consequential decision is made by a named human who can be asked to explain it.
Grounded, not improvised
LEO answers from published Forward content: programmes, requirements, the fees position and the calendar. Where a figure is not yet published, it is instructed to say so rather than estimate.
No invented facts about the institution
The site publishes no rankings, no graduate outcomes and no alumni figures, because Forward has not graduated anyone yet. Any AI surface that implies otherwise is a defect, and we ask you to report it.
Assessment integrity
Forward assesses capability, and part of every assessment is a spoken defence with a human assessor. That is how AI-assisted work is handled honestly rather than policed by detection software.
Data minimisation
AI tools receive the question and the published grounding they need. They are not given your application file, and conversations are not used to train third-party models.
You can always reach a person
Every AI surface on this site offers a route to the human team that owns the topic, with a published response target.
