Every promise a university makes needs a person whose whole job is to keep it.

Forward does not hire generalists. We hire against nine specialist roles, each with its own brief, its own caseload, and its own name in the prospectus.

Why Forward

A faculty model designed for people who want to do one thing brilliantly.

We separate the six traditional jobs of a professor into full-time specialist roles. That means you are hired to do the thing you are best at, measured on published caseloads, and supported by Amagezi, the system that enforces the separation in software.

Named accountability

Every student can name their mentor. Every course names its instructor and architect.

Published caseloads

Mentors, instructors and evaluators all carry published ratios. A breach is a Dean's action item.

Cooperative education

Practice tutors broker real, paid placements and assess the workplace learning that results.

Supervised AI

Musomesa expands contact time, but humans confirm every mark and own every decision.

Open roles

The nine roles we recruit against.

Each card links the role, the focus of the post, and the published promise it exists to protect.

01

Programme Mentor

CoachStudent success

Progress, pace and pathway for a named caseload of students, from enrolment to graduation.

02

Course Instructor

CoachSubject specialist

Deep subject expertise on one course, taught in both pathways, answering inside one working day.

03

Evaluator

JudgeAssessment integrity

Independent, rubric-bound marking, blind wherever possible, never of a student they taught.

04

Curriculum Architect

BuildCourse design

Courses as institutional assets: outcomes, rubrics, question banks and AI grounding packs.

05

Practice and Placement Tutor

CoachCooperative education

Sourcing placements, brokering matches, and assessing workplace learning with the employer.

06

AI Teaching Assistant (Musomesa)

BuildAI-native

Software, supervised: instant grounded help, unlimited practice, and never a mark to give.

07

Programme Chair

JudgeAcademic owner

One academic owner per programme: competency register, course approvals, progression and award boards.

08

Dean of School

JudgeLeadership

Holds the chairs to account and owns the School's staffing plan across all nine roles.

09

External Examiner and QA Officer

JudgeQuality assurance

Outside the delivery chain: independent sampling, and audit of separations, turnarounds and calibration.

How we hire

Application, demonstration, conversation.

Because we hire against precise roles, our process is short and specific. We look for evidence that you can do the one job we are asking you to do.

  1. 01

    Express interest

Select a role and tell us why the brief fits you.

  2. 02

    Submit evidence

A short work sample or demonstration relevant to the role.

  3. 03

    Structured conversation

A panel interview with the Dean of School and a peer from the role.

  4. 04

    Offer & onboarding

Clear caseload, published promise, and Amagezi access from day one.

Apply

Tell us which role you are built for.

Founding-intake hiring is open. We review expressions of interest every two weeks and respond with next steps or an honest timeline.

Can't see a perfect fit? Send a general enquiry anyway. The School plan grows in phases, and we may be building a team around your specialism before the role is publicly posted.
