Fees and funding

What Forward costs, and what that price is buying

Cost is the second question every applicant asks. This page answers it in the same voice as the rest of the site: the structure in full, the commitments in writing, and no figure invented to fill a gap.

Where the numbers are

The founding-intake fee schedule is set by the governing body and published on the day applications open for that intake, alongside the full funding list. Until that schedule is signed off, this page publishes the billing structure and the commitments rather than a number we would have to correct later. Everything marked Confirmed before the founding intake is a real line on the schedule with its figure still to be confirmed.

By credential

How each credential is charged

Forward bills in the smallest honest unit for each pathway, so that a student who accelerates or steps out for a cycle pays for what they actually studied.

Degrees

Bachelor's degree, Path One (Term Model)

Two terms of six months per academic year. Tuition is charged per term, so a student who accelerates through fewer terms pays for fewer terms.

Degrees

Bachelor's degree, Path Two (Block Model)

One unit at a time, four weeks at a time. Tuition is charged per block, which is the fairest unit for a student who steps out for a cycle and returns.

One intensive academic year of two semesters, 42 credit units, across the General, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences tracks. All three tracks are charged identically: the science tracks carry laboratory consumables inside the functional fee rather than as a surcharge.

What holds whatever the figures are

These are the parts of the fee policy that do not depend on the schedule being signed off.

The fee you enrol on is the fee for your cohort

Forward publishes fees per intake and does not raise them inside a cohort. If the schedule changes, it changes for the next intake, not for students already registered.

The cooperative-education placement is paid work, not billed study

The compulsory twelve-month placement is paid by the employer and assessed by the University. It is not charged as tuition, and no student pays Forward for the privilege of working.

You pay for what you actually study

Term Model tuition is charged per term and Block Model tuition per block. A student who accelerates pays less in total, and the Accelerate Calculator shows exactly how that moves.

Nobody is charged for a resit they were never taught for

One resit per module or block is included. Where a failure follows a teaching failure on our side, the retake is free and the incident is recorded on the accountability page.

Published before applications, not after offers

The full schedule for an intake is published before that intake opens for applications, so no applicant accepts an offer without knowing the cost.

The refusal list, on money

What we will not do

The same discipline we apply to what we will not teach, applied to how we charge.

  • No agent commissions paid per recruited head, anywhere in the world.
  • No fee increase inside a cohort once that cohort has enrolled.
  • No compulsory bundled charges dressed up as optional extras.
  • No withholding of a transcript already earned over an administrative balance dispute that is under appeal.
  • No unpaid placements counted towards the cooperative-education requirement.

Living costs for international applicants are estimated separately on the international students page, and the effect of pacing on your total cost is modelled in the Accelerate Calculator.
