AI Oversight Board constituted, with the no-marks rule written down
Mwalimu and LEO now sit under a standing board with a published incident register and a named academic accountable for every behaviour.
Forward has constituted an AI Oversight Board to supervise Mwalimu, the learning assistant, and LEO, the admissions assistant. The board approves what the AI is permitted to do, reviews its grounding sources, and audits transcripts for invented or harmful answers.
The rule the board exists to enforce is simple and now written into the assessment regulations: software never issues a mark. AI expands contact time. It does not hold academic authority.
The board meets monthly and publishes a register of incidents alongside any change to model behaviour.
