School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Tourism
Africa's hospitality talent, trained to a five to seven star standard
Tourism is Uganda's largest foreign exchange earner, East Africa has the fastest growing luxury hotel pipeline on the continent, and the Gulf, the Indian Ocean islands, the airlines and the cruise industry recruit African hospitality talent at scale, yet almost nobody in the region trains for this sector at degree level to the standard a five to seven star property, a fine dining kitchen, an airline or a world class destination demands. This School is Forward University's answer. Competence is proven in the Forward Hotel and Teaching Restaurant, a live commercial property on campus run by students under professional management, on real guests, real covers and real revenue. Every degree carries guaranteed paid cooperative education in five to seven star properties, fine dining kitchens, airlines, tour operators and venues, with the host's structured assessment carrying up to half of the placement mark and signing the Capability Passport. International certifications are stacked inside every degree, from food safety and HACCP to revenue management, travel distribution, luxury service standards and wine and beverage credentials, and guest personalisation, revenue optimisation, demand forecasting and operational analytics are treated as core competencies rather than electives.
